(3) Chế độ gió
Gió là một trong những nhân tố quan trọng trong quá trình phát tán và biến đổi các chất gây ô nhiễm không khí trong bầu khí quyển. Có hai hướng gió chính trong năm:
+ Từ tháng 1 đến tháng 6: Hướng gió khống chế là Đông Nam với tần số 20-40%, gió Đông (20%) và gió Nam (37%).
+ Từ tháng 7 đến tháng 12: Hướng gió khống chế là Tây Nam. Trong thời kỳ này, vận tốc gió có trị số cao nhất. Vận tốc giờ trung bình là 2-3m/ giây, trị số cao nhất ghi được vào năm 1972 là 36m/ giây. (Đài Khí tượng Thủy văn miền Nam, 1998).
