Căn cứ vào Hợp Đồng Tín Dụng, hạn mức tín dụng, nhu cầu chi phí phát sinh khách hàng đến ngân hàng để xin giải ngân. NH sẽ tiến hành giải ngân theo hạn mức tín dụng đã được cam kết trong hợp đồng. Như vậy giải ngân là việc NH tiến hành chi tiền cho khách hàng theo mức cho vay đã được duyệt trong hợp đồng tín dụng.
Có hai phương thức giải ngân:
- Giải ngân một lần: tiền vay được phát cho khách hàng một lần vao đầu kỳ hạn vay tiền.
- Giải ngân nhiều lần: tiền vay theo hạn mức tín dụng được phát cho khách hàng thành nhiều đợt.
