Tại sao lại là mô hình đào tạo nghệ thuật truyền thống kết hợp với hiện đại?
Là một doanh nghiệp xã hội, chúng tôi mong muốn giải quyết được nhiều nhất có thể những vấn đề nóng hổi đang diễn ra hiện nay. Bên cạnh việc giải quyết khó khăn cho trẻ em lang thang cơ nhỡ, chúng tôi nhận thấy hệ quả của quá trình mở cửa là việc hang loạt các di sản văn hóa phi vật thể mang tính nghệ thuật của Việt Nam đang ngày càng bị mai một và có nguy cơ biến mất trong tương lai. Mặc dù nhà nước đã có những chính sách bảo tồn những di sản văn hóa này nhưng chúng thật sự chưa có hiệu quả cao. Nhận thấy trẻ em là tương lai của đất nước, những người sẽ gánh trên vai trách nhiệm duy trì, bảo tồn và phát triển những giá trị văn hóa quí giá của dân tộc, chúng tôi quyết định đem nghệ thuật truyền thống vào giảng dạy cho các em. Chúng tôi tin rằng, đây là cơ hội quảng bá, giúp đối tượng học tập của chúng tôi cũng như nhiều người Việt Nam, các vị khách quốc tế hiểu và yêu them những giá trị quí báu của dân tộc Việt Nam. Bên cạnh đó, chúng tôi cũng đóng góp được phần nào công sức nhỏ bé của mình vào nỗ lực bảo tồn các giá trị văn hóa Việt Nam.
Quá trình mở cửa đã khiến một số giá trị văn hóa Việt Nam bị mai một do sự du nhập của nhiều hình thức nghệ thuật hiện đại với sức lan tỏa mạnh mẽ trong xã hội, đặc biệt là trong cộng đồng những người trẻ. Do vậy, bên cạnh việc đào tạo các loại hình nghệ thuật truyền thống, VietArts cũng đưa vào chương trình giảng dạy một số loại hình nghệ thuật hiện đại nhằm đáp ứng thị hiếu của phần đông thị trường. Tuy nhiên, mô hình đào tao nghệ thuật vẫn đóng vai trò chủ đạo trong chương trình giảng dạy của VietArts.
