Năm 2014, hoạt động của Công đoàn ở tất cả các cấp đã có những thay đổi tích cực. Công đoàn cùng với chuyên môn đã tổ chức nhiều phong trào thi đua sâu, rộng trên toàn mạng lưới như phong trào đổi mới chất lượng khâu phát, đổi mới hoạt động Bưu điện - Văn hóa xã. Các cụm công đoàn tăng cường hoạt động trao đổi kinh nghiệm, chia sẻ các giải pháp, cách làm hay. Tổng số tiền khen thưởng hơn 4 tỷ đồng.

Có thể nói, phong trào thi đua đã tạo được động lực đối với các đơn vị, nỗ lực phấn đấu phát triển doanh thu kinh doanh. Nhiều tập thể, cá nhân của Bưu điện Việt Nam đã vinh dự được Đảng, Nhà nước tặng thưởng các thành tích cao trong năm 2014. Trong đó, 1 tập thể và 1 cá nhân được tặng thưởng Huân chương Lao động hạng nhì, 6 tập thể và 1 cá nhân được tặng tưởng Huân chương Lao động hạng ba, 11 tập thể được tặng Cờ thi đua của Chính phủ, 4 tập thể và 34 cá nhân được tặng bằng khen của Thủ tướng Chính phủ và nhiều thành tích khác.
