hiện chỉ có khoảng 25% sinh viên đang theo học các lĩnh vực khoa học kỹ thuật. người sử dụng lao động việt nam nhận thấy những yếu kém đặc biệt nghiêm trọng trong kỹ năng giao tiếp và tiếng anh cũng như kiến thức thực tế trong công việc của một sinh viên mới tốt nghiệp được tuyển dụng. Và việc thiếu kỹ năng mềm được thấy rõ trong các ngành công nghiệp chuyên sâu, làm hạn chế khả năng cải tiến và đổi mới công nghệ
