SEAP Games lần thứ 5 diễn ra ở thành phố Yangon (Myanmar) từ ngày 6 đến 13/12/1969. 920 VĐV và quan chức đến từ 6 quốc gia tham gia thi đấu ở 15 môn. Nước chủ nhà Myanmar một lần nữa dẫn đầu bảng xếp hạng huy chương với 57 HCV, 46 HCB và 46 HCĐ, tiếp theo là Thái Lan và Singapore. Việt Nam đứng ở vị trí thứ 5 với 9 HCV, 5 HCB và 8 HCĐ.

Host Myanmar again leads the medal standings with 57 GOLD MEDALS, 46 SILVER and 46 BRONZE, followed by Thailand and Singapore. Vietnam stood at number 5 with 9 GOLD MEDALS, 5 SILVER and 8 BRONZE.
