"Bread of life" là tên quán cà phê - bánh mì nướng truyền thống kiểu Mỹ đầu tiên ở Đà Nẵng, do một gia đình người Mỹ sáng lập và điều hành.
Lần đầu bước vào cái quán kỳ lạ, nhỏ xinh này (25 Trần Phú, Đà Nẵng), khách luôn cảm thấy một cái gì đó rất gần gũi, thân quen. Cái quen đầu tiên là bà chủ người Mỹ có hẳn một cái tên Việt Nam: Liên. BÀ Liên cho biết, bà cùng chồng, ông Bob Huff, đến Việt Nam đã gần 10 năm qua để làm việc ở tổ chức từ thiện "Phát triển kỹ năng cho người khiếm thính". Sau gần hai năm sống tại Hà Nội, gia đình bà quyết chọn thành phố Đà Nẵng gắn bó lâu dài, bởi nơi này phù hợp với công việc cũng như đời sống của gia đình.
"Bread of life" kinh doanh những món như các quán cà phê điểm tâm khác, gồm: cà phê, bánh ngọt, bánh mì..., nhưng đặc biệt, có thể xem đây là nơi sản xuất bánh mì nướng kiểu Mỹ đầu tiên tại Việt Nam( Hà Nội và TPHCM có các quán bánh mì nướng kiểu Pháp). Vì thế, có khá nhiều du khách nước ngoài đến quán để tìm chút khẩu vị quen thuộc của quê nhà. Số khác lại thích tìm đến để thử hương vị lạ.
