Prosperity là gì? Nó có tương quan gì với kinh tế và bản chất của nó? Liệu Prosperity và finite planet có thể cùng tồn tại? Đây là những câu hỏi mà Tim Jackson cố gắng trả lời trong cuốn sách Sự Thịnh Vượng Không Phát Triển (Prosperity without growth).
