Với những nguyên vật liệu còn lưu trữ trong kho, bộ phận QM có nhiệm vụ quản lý hạn sử dụng và kiểm tra chất lượng cho nguyên vật liệu khi đạt 2/3 hạn sử dụng. Khi có một lô nguyên vật liệu đạt 2/3 hạn dùng, bộ phận QM sẽ tiến hành lên kế hoạch và kiểm nghiệm chất lượng cho lô nguyên vật liệu đó. Các bước trên sẽ được thực hiện như sau
