Trên thế giới, sự phân phối lợi ích của toàn cầu hoá là không đồng đều. Những nước có nền kinh tế phát triển thấp sẽ được hưởng lợi ít hơn. Ở mỗi quốc gia, sự phân phối lợi ích cũng không đồng đều. Một bộ phận dân cư được hưởng lợi ít hơn, thậm chí còn bị tác động tiêu cực của sự toàn cầu hoá; nguy cơ phá sản một số lượng doanh nghiệp và nguy cơ thất nghiệp sẽ tăng lên, sự phân hoá giàu nghèo sẽ tăng lên.
