Dự báo năm 2016 xuất khẩu cá tra sẽ khó khăn

Ngày 26-12 tại TPHCM, Hiệp hội chế biến và xuất khẩu thủy sản Việt Nam (VASEP) đã tổ chức hội nghị tổng kết xuất khẩu thủy sản năm 2015. Hội nghị là nơi để các doanh nghiệp xuất khẩu thủy sản nhìn lại một năm qua và cùng nhau đưa ra những dự báo cho năm 2016.
Dự báo về tình hình năm 2016, VASEP cho biết mặt hàng tôm của Việt Nam vẫn bị ảnh hưởng của làn sóng giảm giá và áp lực cạnh tranh. Tuy nhiên, sẽ có tác động tích cực từ các hiệp định thương mại (FTA) đối với các thị trường như Hàn Quốc, Nhật, EU hay ASEAN. Trên cơ sở đó, VASEP dự báo, xuất khẩu tôm năm 2016 là 3,3 tỉ đô la Mỹ, tăng 12% so với năm 2015. Cá ngừ đạt kim ngach xuất khẩu 507 triệu đô la Mỹ, tăng 8%, các sản phẩm mực, bạch tuộc là 470 triệu đô la Mỹ, tăng 10% so với năm nay.
Tuy nhiên, VASEP dự báo xuất khẩu cá tra của năm 2016 sẽ tiếp tục giảm và ước đạt 1,5 tỉ đô la Mỹ, giảm 5% so với năm 2015.
Nguyên nhân được VASEP chỉ ra là do những vấn đề liên quan đến thuế bán phá giá và chương trình thanh tra cá da trơn của Mỹ. Ngoài ra, cá tra sẽ phải cạnh tranh với các sản phẩm thủy sản thịt trắng có thể được người tiêu dùng các nước chọn thay thế cá tra như cá tuyết, cá rô phi, cá minh thái.
