III. Các nguyên tắc của phát triển bền vững
Chương trình Môi trường của Liên Hiệp Quốc (UNEP) trong tác phẩm “ Hãy cứu lấy trái đất - chiến lược cho một cuộc sống bền vững”, 1991 đã nêu ra 9 nguyên tắc của một xã hội bền vững:
- Tôn trọng và quan tâm đến cuộc sống cộng đồng;
- Cải thiện chất lượng cuộc sống của con người;
- Bảo vệ sức sống và tính đa dạng của Trái đất;
- Hạn chế đến mức thấp nhất việc làm suy giảm các nguồn tài nguyên không tái tạo;
- Giữ vững trong khả năng chịu đựng được của Trái đất;
- Thay đổi tập tục và thói quen cá nhân;
- Để cho các cộng đồng tự quản lý môi trường của mình;
- Tạo ra một khuôn mẫu quốc gia thống nhất, thuận lợi cho việc phát triển và bảo vệ;
- Xây dựng khối liên minh toàn cầu.
Tuy nhiên, các nguyên tắc này thực sự khó áp dụng trong thực tế của một thế giới đầy các biến động về chính trị, kinh tế và văn hoá.

United Nations (UNEP) in his work "Let's save the Earth – strategies for a sustainable living", 1991 has raised 9 principles of a sustainable society:
-respect and care to the community life;
-to improve the quality of human life;
-Protect the vitality and diversity of the Earth;
-confined to the lowest level job decline in non-renewable resources;
-hold out the possibility of holding the earth;
-changing personal habits and mores;
-to let the Community environmental self-management;
-create a template United States, conducive to the development and protection;
– building blocks for global Union.
However, these guidelines are really difficult to apply in reality of a world full of fluctuations in politics, economy and culture.
