NASA phát triển ứng dụng giúp máy bay rút ngắn thời gian bay
NASA đang phát triển một phần mềm dành cho các hãng hàng không giúp giám sát các điều kiện như thời tiết và đường bay để có thể đưa ra những lộ trình ngắn hơn. Không chỉ giảm thời gian bay, vấn đề về nhiên liệu và khí thải carbon cũng được cải thiện đáng kể. Virgin America và Alaska Airlines là 2 hãng hàng không đầu tiên lên kế hoạch thử nghiệm hệ thống của NASA trong vòng 3 năm tới.

Ứng dụng giúp máy bay tiết kiệm nhiên liệu, giảm phát thải carbon

Hệ thống có tên gọi Traffic Aware Planner (TAP) có thể được nạp vào một chiếc máy tính bảng dưới dạng ứng dụng và gắn trực tiếp lên hệ thống điện tử hàng không của máy bay. Nó hoạt động phối hợp với hệ thống giám sát ADS-B và kết nối Internet nếu máy bay được trang bị.

Từ đây, TAP giám sát nhiều thông số như vị trí hiện tại, độ cao, đường bay của máy bay, tình trạng không lưu xung quanh và các điều kiện thời tiết theo thời gian thực.
