Theo một cuộc thăm dò dư luận thực hiện vào tháng 12/2007, đài BBC đã phỏng vấn khách quan 1000 người Anh, độ tuổi từ 16 trở lên về việc có nên duy trì hình thức quân chủ lập hiến không, kết quả đã cho thấy có đến 80% cho rằng việc duy trì chế độ này vẫn là việc làm cần thiết.
