Chính phủ Việt Nam kỳ vọng huy động được hơn 2 tỷ USD từ việc bán cổ phần lớn trong 2 hãng bia quốc doanh là Tổng công ty Bia - rượu - nước giải khát Sài Gòn (Sabeco) và Tổng công ty Cổ phần Rượu bia và Nước giải khát Hà Nội (Habeco). Hiện Nhà nước đang nắm 90% Sabeco và 82% Habeco. Họ sẽ bán dần cổ phần trong 2 năm tới.
