Với những kỹ năng đã được đào tạo tại trường và áp dụng nó vào môi trường làm việc thực tế, tôi đã hoàn thành khoá thực tập của mình tại bệnh viện Đại học Y Dược TP.HCM trong ba tháng bắt đầu từ ngày 15 tháng 6 năm 2015 đến 12 tháng 9 năm 2015. Bệnh viện Đại học Y Dược TP.HCM có tên đối ngoại là University Medical Center HCMC. Bệnh viện được thành lập từ tháng 10 năm 1994 cho đến nay. Bệnh viện không chỉ làm tốt chức năng nghiên cứu và giảng dạy mà còn chữa bệnh thành công cho rất nhiều người bệnh. Với sự chuyển đổi mô hình hoạt động từ bệnh viện bán công sang bệnh viện công nó đã giúp bệnh viện ngày càng có nhiều bước tiến mới. Hoạt động theo mô hình tiên tiến với sự kết hợp giữa Trường – Viện nhằm nâng cao chất lượng và hiệu quả trong công tác khám chữa bệnh.

Tháng 9/2003, Phân khoa Hậu môn - Trực tràng Bệnh viện Ðại học Y Dược TPHCM được thành lập, đáp ứng kịp thời nhu cầu chẩn đoán và điều trị theo chuyên khoa các bệnh lành tính vùng hậu môn trực tràng (trĩ, rò hậu môn, nứt hậu môn, hẹp hậu môn, ngứa hậu môn vô căn, đau hậu môn, sa trực tràng, rò xoang lông…) và bệnh lý gây ra rối loạn sự thoát phân (táo bón hoặc đi tiêu mất kiểm soát, sa trực tràng kiểu túi, lồng trực tràng ống hậu môn, co thắt cơ mu trực tràng nghịch lý, sa sàn chậu …). Đây cũng là Phân khoa Hậu môn – Trực tràng đầu tiên được thành lập tại Việt Nam và cũng là nơi tôi được phân công thực tập. Công việc và nhiệm vụ chính của tôi được giao đó là làm hồ sơ bệnh án nhập viện, làm hồ sơ bảo hiểm có bệnh nhân nhập viện có bảo hiểm y tế, chuẩn bị một bộ hồ sơ bệnh án cho điều dưỡng nhận bệnh, làm hồ sơ xuất viện, làm giấy nghỉ bảo hiểm xã hội, tính dịch vụ chăm sóc của bác sĩ trong ngày, trả hồ sơ bệnh án về kho lưu trữ hồ sơ.

Thời gian đầu do còn mới và chưa quen với môi trường làm việc mới nên cũng gặp một số khó khăn, áp lực công việc sự lo lắng xảy ra với tôi là điều không tránh khỏi. Công việc của tôi khi mới vào thực tập đó là làm hồ sơ nhập viện. Đầu tiên, khi nhận một hồ sơ bệnh án nhập viện từ bàn tư vấn nhận bệnh thì kiểm tra thông tin trên Giấy nhập viện và tiến hành nhập máy, trong quá trình nhập máy cần phải kiểm tra thông tin trên hệ thống phần mềm có trùng khớp với tờ nhập viện mà bệnh nhân đã khai như: giới tính, địa chỉ (số nhà, phường – xã), nghề nghiệp, dân tộc, và số điện thoại liên lạc khi cần báo tin. Nếu những thông tin đã đầy đủ và chính xác thì tiến hành làm hồ sơ đăng ký nhập viện cho bệnh nhân, xác nhận những thao tác vừa thực hiện, in bệnh án gắn vào hồ sơ, ghi phiếu đóng phí tạm ứng và chuyển tiếp hồ sơ cho điều dưỡng nhận bệnh thực hiện qui trình tiếp theo. Công việc tưởng chừng như rất dễ nhưng nó đòi hỏi tính cẩn thận cao trong quá trình nhập máy, nếu không kiểm tra thông tin trên giấy nhập viện và trên hệ thống không trùng khớp với nhau sẽ dẫn đến tất cả các xét nghiệm cận lâm sàng của bệnh nhân điều bị sai thông tin khi đó cần phải hướng dẫn bệnh nhân làm các thủ tục chỉnh sửa thông tin. Kỹ năng giao tiếp là yếu tố cần thiết nhất trong mỗi người chúng ta, phải biết cách giao tiếp tốt và ứng xử tốt trong mọi tình huống khi bệnh nhân cần giải đáp là điều vô cùng cần thiết. Được thực tập trong một môi trường với đội ngũ nhân viên chuyên nghiệp luôn hỗ trợ, chỉ dẫn nhiệt tình nó đã giúp ích cho công việc của tôi rất nhiều.

Tuy thời gian ngắn nhưng sự va chạm với môi trường thực tế cùng với những kinh nghiệm rút ra từ cả hai đợt thực tập đã giúp tôi định hướng rõ hơn về nghề mà mình đã chọn và tôi cảm thấy ngày càng yêu thích công việc này. Sau lễ tốt nghiệp, bằng chính những kiến thức mà nhà trường đã trang bị, đó là một hành trang để tôi có thể tìm cho mình một công việc và bắt đầu một khởi đầu mới.
