Cô dâu 8 tuổi là một bộ phim truyền hình Ấn Độ, được phát sóng lần đầu vào ngày 21 tháng 7, 2008 trên kênh Colors TV.

Phim đề cập đến các khía cạnh khác nhau của vấn nạn tảo hôn ở Ấn Độ. Ngay khi được lên sóng, phim đã gặt hái thành công vang dội và cũng gây ra nhiều tranh cãi trong dư luận Ấn Độ trong suốt một thời gian dài.
Phim Cô dâu 8 tuổi được chiếu trên kênh TodayTV từ ngày 11 tháng 11 năm 2014. Kể từ ngày 27/6/2015, TodayTV tăng thời lượng phát sóng của bộ phim Cô dâu 8 tuổi phần 2 lên 2 tập/ngày.[2][5]

Khán giả Việt Nam đánh giá Cô dâu 8 tuổi hay nhưng chi tiết lằng nhằng, mỗi khi có sự kiện xảy ra, máy quay thường chiếu cận cảnh gương mặt các thành viên trong gia đình Anandi, sau đó mới tới sự kiện khiến người xem bực bội, ức chế.[6] Tuy vậy, việc phim kéo dài với những tình tiết rất chậm đã giúp khán giả dễ theo dõi mạch phim.[7]

Diễn viên vai cô dâu 8 tuổi các tập đầu Avika Gor đã đến Việt Nam giao lưu tháng 12 năm 2014[8][9], và ba diễn viên chính của phim sẽ đến Việt Nam cuối tháng 7 năm 2015.

Do thời lượng chiếu ở Việt Nam là 45 phút so với Ấn Độ chiếu 20 phút, số tập phim được rút ngắn còn khoảng 900 tập phim.[5][10][11]

Nội dung
Kịch bản của bộ phim dựa trên câu chuyện có thật của một bé gái tên là Anandi xinh xắn, thông minh nhưng vì nạn tảo hôn bất đắc dĩ mà phải kết hôn với bé trai Jagdish khi mới 8 tuổi. Phim xoay quanh cuộc sống của “người vợ trẻ” trong gia đình nhà chồng đầy sóng gió với những hủ tục hà khắc.[3]

Các phần mới của bộ phim đang tiếp tục đề cập tới một vấn đề nhạy cảm hơn: nạn giết người vì danh dự, khi con gái yêu người không cùng đẳng cấp.[4]

Đón nhận
Với nội dung nhạy cảm, Cô dâu 8 tuổi ngay khi được công chiếu tại Ấn Độ đã nhận những phản ứng trái chiều. Phim này đã từng bị Quốc hội Ấn Độ cấm phát sóng trên toàn quốc. Song cuối cùng, bộ phim đã được chiếu trở lại do làn sóng phản đối quá lớn từ phía công chúng nước này.
