Trong bài viết chúng tôi phân tích rằng sức lôi cuốn của nghệ thuật biểu diễn Dùkê là nhờ đặc trưng bản địa của nó. Tính bản địa thể hiện rõ nét không chỉ ở xuất xứ mà còn thể hiện ở những yếu tố khác như trang phục, âm nhạc, vũ điệu…v.v làm nên nét đặc thù khmer Nam Bộ của nghệ thuật Dùkê. Chính vì thế, để loại hình nghệ thuật biểu diễn sân khấu dân gian này gắn chặt với đời sống của cộng đồng người Khmer Nam Bộ, việc lưu giữ và phát huy nghệ thuật biểu diễn Dùkê cũng có nghĩa là cần duy trì và bồi đắp thêm đặc trưng bản địa của loại hình nghệ thuật biểu diễn dân gian này.
