1.8 Tầm quan trọng của công tác giảng dạy của trung tâm
Trung tâm rất chú trọng công tác phát triển và bồi dưỡng đội ngũ giáo viên, coi đây là một trong các nhiệm vụ then chốt. Có kế hoạch thường xuyên bồi dưỡng, nâng cao trình độ cho giáo viên thông qua hình thức tổ chức các hội nghị, hội thảo, chia sẻ kinh nghiệm với sự tham gia của các chuyên gia trong nước và quốc tế trong lĩnh vực đào tạo giảng viên tiếng Anh và giảng dạy tiếng Anh.
Hiện nay, tại trung tâm các giảng viên thường sinh hoạt chuyên môn theo hai hình thức: Tổ chức theo các chuyên đề và dự giờ trao đổi kinh nghiệm về các bài giảng.
Sinh hoạt chuyên môn theo chuyên đề bao gồm việc triển khai học tập các văn bản chỉ đạo về chuyên môn của cấp trên, tập huấn phương pháp dạy học, thảo luận các chủ đề về chương trình giảng dạy, các tin tức, sự kiện mới liên quan đến kiến thức giảng dạy. Những nội dung này thường được giao cho giáo viên có kinh nghiệm và năng lực chuyên môn tốt xây dựng thành các báo cáo chuyên đề hay sáng kiến kinh nghiệm.
Đối với hình thức thứ hai là dự giờ trao đổi kinh nghiệm, sau mỗi tiết dự giờ có sự tham gia của, phó hiệu trưởng, Tổ trưởng chuyên môn và hầu hết giáo viên trong tổ. Sau dự giờ tổ chuyên môn tiến hành thảo luận rút kinh nghiệm và đánh giá xếp loại giáo viên dạy.
Cả hai nội dung trên nhiều trường đã thực hiện khá tốt góp phần nâng cao chất lượng đào tạo – giáo dục các học viên tại trung tâm.
