Tập đoàn Unilever đã công bố Kế hoạch Phát triển bền vững và được công ty triển khai tại Việt Nam từ tháng 9/2011 cho đến năm 2020 nhằm thực hiện cam kết góp phần nâng cao cuộc sống của người dân, trở thành một công ty được yêu mến nhất tại Việt Nam. Kế hoạch Phát triển bền vững của Unilever hướng đến ba mục tiêu chính trên toàn cầu tính đến năm 2020, đó là: Phát triển Tập đoàn lớn mạnh gấp đôi, đồng thời giảm 1/2 tác động đối với môi trường; Sử dụng 100% nguyên liệu nông sản thô từ nguồn nguyên liệu bền vững; Giúp hơn 1 tỷ người trên thế giới cải thiện vệ sinh, sức khỏe và điều kiện sống.
