Nhờ áp dụng kỹ thuật canh tác khoa học và hiện đại, HAGL đạt năng suất mía cao và giá thành mỗi tấn mía thấp hơn nhiều so với mặt bằng chung của ngành. Đây là yếu tố quan trọng dẫn đến sự thành công trong ngành mía đường.
Từ tháng 1/2013, HAGL đã vận hành ổn định nhà máy sản xuất đường với công suất 7.000 tấn mía/ngày và nhà máy nhiệt điện chạy bằng bã mía với công suất 30 MW.
