Bản chất của con người là thói muốn chiếm hữu. Chúng ta ai cũng ham muốn có được sự giáo dục và của cải ,... càng nhiều càng tốt.Thế nhưng, liệu một người có thực sự hạnh phúc nếu người ấy không có sức khoẻ tốt ? Vì vậy, sức khoẻ là yếu tố quan trọng nhất mà con người có thể có được. Đó là lý do tại sao tục ngữ có câu : "Sức khoẻ là vàng bạc" . Không ai có thể làm việc tốt nếu không có một cơ thể cường tráng và một trí óc minh mẫn.

Mọi người đều ao ước đừng đau ốm hay bệnh tật. Những người khuyết tật như câm, điếc , hay mù không thể sống cuộc đời tự lập cho dẫu họ được huấn luyện tốt như thế nào đi nữa. Sự thông cảm của những người khác chỉ tạo nên mặc cảm tự ti .
