UNESCO chính thức vinh danh kéo co là di sản văn hóa thế giới


Theo thông tin từ Cục Di sản Văn hóa, nghi lễ và trò chơi kéo co ở Việt Nam, Campuchia, Hàn Quốc và Philippines đã chính thức được Tổ chức Giáo dục, Khoa học và Văn hóa của Liên hợp quốc (UNESCO) ghi danh vào Danh sách Di sản văn hóa phi vật thể của nhân loại.

Quyết định này được đưa ra vào ngày 2/12 tại Phiên họp Ủy ban Liên Chính phủ về bảo vệ di sản văn hóa phi vật thể lần thứ 10 của UNESCO diễn ra tại thành phố Windhoek - Cộng hòa Namibia.

Nghi lễ và trò chơi kéo co được thực hành rộng rãi trong văn hóa trồng lúa ở nhiều nước Đông Á. Ý nghĩa là cầu cho mưa thuận, gió hòa, mùa màng bội thu hay những tiên đoán liên quan đến sự thành công hay thất bại của nỗ lực trồng cấy.
