a. An toàn lao động - quy trình lặn:
- Toàn bộ hoạt động lặn sẽ được thực hiện theo hướng dẫn trong qui chế lặn của POTS & VSP.
- Các thợ lặn khi làm việc dưới nước phải được trang bị các quần áo và phương tiện thiết bị bảo hộ riêng và giám thị lặn có trách nhiệm kiểm tra và đảm bảo có đầy đủ các trang thiết bị và người hỗ trợ cần thiết để các hoạt động lặn được thực hiện an toàn theo “Quy Trình Lặn” POTS & VSP.
- Khi làm việc trên bề mặt / trên boong tàu các nhân sự phải được trang bị các phương tiện bảo hộ cần thiết và phải thực hiện cộng việc theo đúng các qui trình công việc và tuân thủ các nội quy an toàn. Các nhân sự khi làm việc trên biển đều phải được tham gia một khoá đào tạo về an toàn và thoát hiểm trên biển.
- Bảo đảm không thực hiện các hoạt động lặn từ những phương tiện đang di chuyển hoặc chưa được neo cố định chắc chắn.
- Tàu hỗ trợ công tác lặn được trang bị hệ thống phao cứu sinh hay các phương tiện ứng cứu khác phải đủ cho số lượng đông người làm việc trên tàu.
- Thuyền trưởng có trách nhiệm tổng quát đối với tàu và vấn đề an toàn cho mọi người trên tàu. Do đó, ông ta có thể chấm dứt các hoạt động mà ông ta cảm thấy gặp nguy hiểm – kể cả hoạt động lặn.
