khi đến nhận ca, lễ tân phải nhận bàn giao trong sổ bàn giao và ký xác nhận đầy đủ, nếu có mất mát trong ca nào thì ca đó phải chịu trách nhiệm.
các thông tin ca trước bàn giao lại cho ca sau phải ghi rõ ràng trong giấy tờ, sổ sách, không nên bàn giao miệng vì tính chất công việc rất dễ quên do tính chất công việc của lễ tân rất bận rộn vì phải tiếp xúc với nhiều khách hàng.
khi nhận ca lễ tân sẽ kiểm tra tình trạng khách hàng của ca trước là như thế nào, khách đi bao nhiêu người, ngồi ghế số mấy và làm những dịch vụ gì để nắm bắt được tình hình khách hàng, tránh sự sai sót hay nhầm lẫn. nếu làm ca đầu tiên trong ngày thì phải kiểm tra xem có khách đặt chỗ trước không để báo cho nhân viên làm dịch vụ chuẩn bị, tránh sự chậm trễ
các thông tin quan trọng mà chưa làm thì phải ghi chú nhắc nhở để không bị quên, hay giúp cho nhân viên ca sau thuận tiện xử lý công việc hơn.
