Nhận lời mời của chính quyền tỉnh và Đại học Aomori Chuo Gakuin, Đại sứ Việt Nam tại Nhật Bản Nguyễn Quốc Cường đã có chuyến thăm làm việc tại tỉnh Aomori từ ngày 25-28/7.

Đoàn công tác đã tham quan các nông trường trồng táo và các nhà máy bảo quản, chế biến sản phẩm từ táo với công nghệ hiện đại nhất của Nhật Bản. Hàng năm tỉnh Aomori cung cấp sản lượng táo lớn nhất Nhật Bản.

Năm 2015, Việt Nam đã chính thức cấp phép nhập khẩu táo từ tỉnh Aomori, Nhật Bản. Các cơ quan chức năng của tỉnh cam kết những sản phẩm táo của tỉnh Aomori xuất sang Việt Nam là những sản phẩm an toàn nhất và được kiểm tra rất chặt chẽ về chất lượng và vệ sinh an toàn thực phẩm.
