Two-thirds of the earth's surface is covered with a colorless, inodorous liquid - a compound of oxygen and hydrogen (chemical)formula: H₂O) called water. The enormity of water source is evident from the oceans that contribute approximately 97.2%of total water available. The fresh water sources contribute 2.7%, of which 0.35% are polluted by anthropogenic activities[1]. Water is considered contaminated when the presence of certain soluble pollutants in water exceeds the prescribed limits. As a rule, water contains undesirable chemicals, biological contaminants and suspended solids. The presence of these contaminants can be highly detrimental to human health. Hence, an efficient and feasible method of water purification is inevitable. This purifier consists of various stages of filtration that can remove harmful effects, dissolved salts and reduce the amount of other physiochemical components such as calcium, magnesium, nitrate etc.
