1. PURPOSE OF THE JOBProvide assistance to the Service Department by enhancing efficiency and work flow and other tasks as needed.2. REPORTINGReport to Service manager3. RESPONSIBILITIES1) Service Department Support• Responsible for moving bikes into the proper locations throughout Service Department, Warehouse.• Provide direct "hands-on" assistance and support to the Shop Foreman to enhance the efficiency and flow of work to the Service Technicians.• Responsible for obtaining and delivering parts and tools to the Service Technicians in a timely manner to enhance the efficiency and productivity of the Service operation.• Provide assistance and support to the Shop Foreman in the maintenance of the Service Department, to include additional duties such as cleaning and assisting in the organization of the Service Dept. • Wash bikes2) Parts Department Support• Support and maintain a high degree of accuracy and completeness, timeliness for all parts, and repair assistance in support of the Service Technicians, Service Writers, Shop Foreman and Service Manager.• Coordinate closely with the Parts & Accessories departmental personnel, to include serving as a Parts Runner for the Service Departments as required, to ensure smooth flow parts availability to Service Technicians.• Assist in the Pre-standing of repair work and assist in checking in all internal and external customer with motorcycles.• Conduct test rides and perform deliveries and pickups as required. 3) Other Duties as assigned. 4) Commitments• Treat all staff employees and customers fairly, courteously, and with dignity. • Superior customer service Model behavior for all service personnel by maintaining positive working relationship within the Service Department and throughout the organization. • Be prompt and available for flexible scheduling.• Be honest and fair in all business dealings.• Demonstrate an interest in growing the service business.• Focus on quality.Your ExpertiseQualifications:• Graduate with major related to Automotive, Mechanical Engineering, Technical or other suitable fields. • Knowledge and experience in automobile/motorcycle service & repair. • Prefer knowledge & experience with Harley-Davidson ® motorcycle, and other products sold and/or repaired by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them.• Current, valid motorcycle license. • Prefer owning A2 license, or the ability to gain one.• English skills: Able to communicate & read technical materials in English.• Having supportive spirit & ability of teamwork.Physical demands: • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. • Routinely required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and handle tools.Working conditions:• Frequently works near moving mechanical parts. • Is potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department. • Occasionally, exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.
