Làn sóng nhập cư đã trở thành tấn thảm kịch nhân đạo tại Địa Trung Hải

Trong thời gian qua, tình hình người tị nạn từ khu vực Lybia theo đường biển đến châu Âu tiếp tục diễn biến phức tạp.
Các tổ chức nhân đạo quốc tế, Liên minh châu Âu (EU) cũng như Cao ủy Liên hiệp quốc (UNHCR) đều đánh giá cuộc khủng hoảng người nhập cư, tị nạn đã thực sự trở thành một tấn thảm kịch nhân đạo.
Chỉ trong ngày 22/7 vừa qua, người ta đã phát hiện thi thể của 87 người tị nạn dạt vào bãi biển Sabrata (duyên hải phía Tây Lybia).
Các thi thể đã được tập trung về trung tâm y tế để nhận dạng qua mẫu ADN.
Chính quyền Sabrata lo ngại rằng nơi đây sẽ sớm trở thành "điểm nóng" của nạn buôn người và tổ chức vượt biên trái phép từ phía bờ biển Lybia.
Mỗi ngày, trong điều kiện thời tiết thuận lợi, đều có hàng nghìn người tìm cách vượt Địa Trung Hải từ đây để đến được châu Âu.
Theo số liệu của UNHCR, từ năm 2014 đến nay, có tới hơn 10.000 người đã chết hoặc mất tích trong khi tìm cách vượt biển đến châu Âu; chủ yếu tập trung ở khu vực trung tâm của Địa Trung Hải.
