Bảo tàng Mỹ thuật Hà Nội là một tòa nhà trưng bày các tác phẩm nghệ thuật từ thời tiền sử cho đến ngày nay. Tầng trệt trưng bày các hinh ảnh đẹp từ thời tiền sử, tầng 2 là các hình ảnh tư liệu về công cuộc xây dựng xã hội chủ nghĩa ở thế kỷ 20 hay gồm các ví dụ về ảnh hưởng của Liên Xô, xã hội chủ nghĩa hiện thực,… Ngoài ra còn có một số hình ảnh trưng bày trống đồng từ nền văn minh Đông Sơn và các tác phẩm điêu khắc Chăm pa. Đừng bỏ qua việc chiêm ngưỡng những hình ảnh tơ lụa và tranh sơn dầu nghệ thuật về dân tộc thiểu số ở tầng ba. Có bộ sưu tập được đặt trong một tòa nhà thuộc địa Pháp có niên đại từ những năm 1930.
