Năm 2014, tổ chức định hạng tín nhi

Năm 2014, tổ chức định hạng tín nhiệm Moody’s đã nâng mức xếp hạng BIDV lên B1 (tăng 1 bậc so với năm trước). Moody’s cũng đánh giá BIDV là ngân hàng có hệ thống mạng lưới rộng khắp và sở hữu một trong những hệ thống thanh toán tốt nhất tại Việt nam. Tổ chức định hạng Standard and Poor’s giữ nguyên định hạng tín nhiệm, qua đó thể hiện sự ổn định và tăng tín nhiệm của BIDV đối với quốc tế.
Cùng với định hạng tín nhiệm được nâng cao, BIDV cũng dành được nhiều giải thưởng uy tín quốc tế và trong nước như giải thưởng “Ngân hàng thương mại tốt nhất Việt nam 2014” (International Banker); “Ngân hàng bán lẻ tốt nhất Việt nam” (Asian Banker), “Ngân hàng điện tử tiêu biểu 2014” do Hiệp hội Ngân hàng Việt nam phối hợp Tập đoàn dữ liệu quốc tế IDG tổ chức; giải thưởng “Thương hiệu quốc gia” của Chính phủ do Bộ Công thương triển khai.
Phát huy vai trò của một định chế tài chính hàng đầu đất nước, BIDV đã chủ động thực thi có hiệu quả chủ trương của Chính Phủ, NHNN, chủ động điều hành tăng trưởng tín dụng, tập trung vào lĩnh vực ưu tiên, đồng thời đẩy mạnh triển khai các giải pháp hỗ trợ, tháo gỡ khó khăn với nhiều sản phẩm chương trình tín dụng cụ thể để cùng doanh nghiệp trụ vững và phát triển.
BIDV tiếp tục khẳng định vị thế, tầm nhìn chiến lược trong hoạt động nghiên cứu, dự báo, tư vấn khuyến nghị các vấn đề về quản lý kinh tế vĩ mô, hoàn thiện thể chế kinh tế thị trường, tiếp tục là một kênh cung cấp thông tin độc lập, khách quan tin cậy, phục vụ hữu ích đối với công tác điều hành của BIDV cũng như trong hoạch định chính sách quản lý vĩ mô, đổi mới và phát triển đất nước.
Trong hợp tác quốc tế, BIDV tiếp tục khẳng định vai trò, sứ mệnh Chủ tịch các hiệp hội các nhà đầu tư Việt Nam tại Lào, Campuchia, Myanmar, tăng cường quảng bá xúc tiến đầu tư thương mại tại các thị trường tiềm năng như Liên Bang Nga, Châu Âu, Đông Bắc Á; trong đó đạt được những bước tiến quan trọng trong việc thâm nhập, kết nối thị trường Nhật Bản – Việt Nam; hợp tác với Tập đoàn Bảo hiểm nhân thọ Hoa Kỳ Metlife thành lập Liên doanh bảo hiêm nhân thọ BIDV Metlife.
Năm 2014, BIDV đã tập trung phát triển thể chế theo mô hình Ngân hàng TMCP hiện đại, nâng cao năng lực quản trị rủi ro theo chuẩn Basel II, đẩy mạnh thực hiện Đề án tái cơ cấu, nâng cao năng lực quản trị doanh nghiệp, đáp ứng các chuẩn mực và thông lệ quốc tế.
Công tác an sinh xã hội tiếp tục được duy trì tập trung vào các chương trình hành động thiết thực, các lĩnh vực ưu tiên quốc gia như y tế, giáo dục, cứu trợ thiên tai, chung tay góp sức vì Biển Đông. Với vai trò là Ngân hàng đầu mối, BIDV đóng góp quan trọng vào thành công của Dự án Tài chính Nông thôn III - dự án được đánh giá là “có kết quả xuất sắc trong số các dự án ODA của Việt Nam” mang lại giá trị to lớn cả về mặt kinh tế, xã hội và môi trường.
