1. Lý do chọn đề tài:
Nước việt nam nói chung và tỉnh thừa thiên huế nói riêng đều có những mặt thuận lợi nhất định trong ngành nông nghiệp đặc biệt là các giống trái cây đặc sản. Hiện nay nuôi trồng và sản xuất cây ăn trái là 1 trong những nhân tố quan trọng trong nền kinh tế chủ yếu là nông nghiệp của nước việt nam ta. Trong đó không thể không nhắc đến 1 loại quả đặc biệt thuộc loại trái cây nhiệt đới có giá trị cao ở việt nam nói chung và TT huế nói riêng đó là cây thanh trà 1 giống bưởi đặc biệt chỉ có ở tỉnh TT huế . Ở nước ta có nhiều vùng miền khác nhau từ đó hình thành nên các vùng trồng bưởi khác nhau từ đó có các giống bưởi nổi tiếng khách nhau như : bưởi Năm roi ( Vĩnh Long) , bưởi Phúc Trạch ( Hà Tĩnh) ...
Tuy nhiên với địa thế đặc biệt và được thiên nhiên ưu đãi thì Thanh trà ở TT huế có vị riêng không giống bất kì giống bưởi nào khác. Được trồng chủ yếu tập trung ở trên những vùng đất phù sa được bồi đáp bởi sông Hương , sông Truồi, sông Bồ phân bổ chủ yếu ở các huyện : phong điền, Quảng Điền, Phú Lộc từ đó thanh trà trở thành 1 loại cây có vị trí quan trọng trong nền kinh tế của tỉnh thừa thiên huế trở thành giống cây có khả năng xóa đói giảm nghèo tạo công ăn việc làm cho hàng nghìn hộ dân ở các xã còn khó khăn.
Đặc biệt đối với vùng đất của phường thủy biều phía tây nam của tp huế với vị thế ưu đãi rất phù hợp cho việc trồng và phát triển nuôi trồng cây thanh trà từ đó vùng đất này đã trở thành 1 thương hiệu riêng nổi tiếng cho địa phương khiến các vùng miền khác đều nhắc tới mỗi khi đến huế. Từ đó chính quyền địa phương đã xác định thanh trà là loại cây kinh tế mũi nhọn trong chiến lược phát triển kinh tế phường.
Tuy nhiên bên cạnh các thuận lợi thì việc trồng và phát triển loài cây chiến lược này vẫn gặp rất nhiều khó khăn thách thức trong những năm gần đây.
Ví dụ việc nuôi trồng gần các ven sông nên không thể tránh khỏi các hiện tượng tiêu cực từ thời tiết như lũ lụt, bão . ngoài ra thiếu hụt nguồn vốn viện trợ cũng như tâm lý ngại thay đổi đến từ phía người dân khiến cho việc trồng và sản xuất thanh trà gặp khó khăn từ đó thương hiệu của cây thanh trà vẫn chưa tương xứng trên thị trường.
Từ những vấn đề trên chúng ta cần có những đánh giá ghi nhận về hiệu quả trong việc chọn lựa loài cây mũi nhọn chiến lược trong việc phát triển kinh tế của vùng . Qua đó đề ra các giải pháp áp dụng vào thực tiễn để có thể nâng tầm vị thế của cây thanh trà cao hơn so với hiện tại. Xuất phát điểm từ đó nhóm chúng tôi chọn đề tài
