Số dự án đầu tư vào lĩnh vực thủy sản còn thấp, trong khi đây là lĩnh vực cần sự đầu tư về vốn, khoa học công nghệ, công nghệ sinh học...và là lĩnh vực tiềm năng của đất nước có hơn 3000 km bờ biển như nước ta.Lĩnh vực thủy sản là lĩnh vực thu nhiều ngoại tệ cho đất nước vì vậy cần chú trọng thu hút FDI vào lĩnh vực này để phát triển ngành thủy sản hơn nữa.
