tuy chỉ mới là mùa giải thứ 5 vnntm được tổ chức ở việt nam nhưng cuộc thi đã thu hút hàng ngàn thí sinh từ khắp nơi trên đất nước Việt nam. Sau vòng sơ tuyển diễn ra ở 4 khu vực hn hcm dn ... với hàng ngàn thí sinh tham gia, ban giam khảo đã chọn ra 14 thí sinh xuất sắc nhất để đi tiếp vào vòng trong.

ở mỗi vòng thi, các thí sinh phải tham gia chụp hình với thử thách mà ban giám khảo đưa ra. Sau từng vòng thi, các thí sinh sẽ được thay đổi ngoại hình, trưởng thành hơn về tính cách. Qua việc tiếp xúc, làm việc trong môi trường chuyên nghiệp, các thí sinh dần hoàn thiện về khả năng caswalk, trình diễn, chụp hình .

Trong mỗi vòng thi, ban giám khảo sẽ loại đi những thí sinh không hoàn thành thử thách .Sau 11 vòng thi, ban giám khảo sẽ tìm ra được thí sinh xuất sắc nhất, người mà giành được ngôi vị quán quânvà hợp đồng làm việc với các nhà quản lí người mẫu danh tiếng ở nước ngoài
