+ Mỗi năm chủ trì và phối hợp thực hiện 3 - 5 đề tài nghiên cứu khoa học, Dự án sản xuất thử nghiệm, có 14 tiến bộ kỹ thuật được công nhận, phục vụ kịp thời người chăn nuôi và đem lại hiệu quả trong sản xuất.
+ Tiếp thu nhanh có chọn lọc những tiến bộ kỹ thuật trong và ngoài nước, nhập nhiều giống cao sản của Thế giới, chọn lọc tạo được 2 dòng vịt siêu thịt T5 & T6 có năng suất và chất lượng cao, 3 dòng vịt chuyên thịt MT1, MT2 và MT3 phục vụ cho thụ tinh nhân tạo ngan vịt, vịt chuyên trứng Đại Xuyên TC, 4 dòng ngan cao sản và xác định các công thức lai cho năng suất và chất lượng cao phù hợp với điều kiện Việt Nam. Tạo ra giống vịt Biển 15 - Đại Xuyên có đặc điểm thích nghi với điều kiện nước mặn, vịt được nuôi tại các vùng ven biển và hải đảo (đặc biệt là Quần đảo Trường Sa).
+ Triển khai tốt các dự án, đề tài, nâng cao năng suất trứng từ 20 - 40 quả, năng suất thịt 200 - 400g/con từ đó làm động lực cho phát triển chăn nuôi ở Việt Nam, duy trì là một nước đứng thứ 2 Thế giới về số lượng vịt, nâng cao chất lượng sản phẩm. Nghiên cứu và chuyển giao các tiêu chuẩn kỹ thuật, quy trình chăn nuôi, vệ sinh thú y, ấp trứng, máy ấp nở, công nghệ thụ tinh nhân tạo ngan - vịt. Đặc biệt Trung tâm đã đưa ra 5 phương thức chăn nuôi vịt - ngan an toàn sinh học đảm bảo tính bền vững phù hợp với điều kiện Việt Nam.
+ Hàng năm nuôi giữ 1400 - 15000 mái gia cầm sinh sản, từ đó cung cấp từ 1,1 - 1,3 triệu con giống cho sản xuất.
