2.2.2 The theory of planned behavior (TPB)Theory of planned behavior (TPB) (Ajzen, 1991), was developed from the theory of rational action (TRA; Fishbein & Ajzen, 1975), assuming that a behavior can be predicted or explained by the behavioral tendency to perform that behavior. The trends of behavior are suppose to include factors that affect behavior, and is defined as the level of effort that people try to perform that behavior (Ajzen, 1991).The trend back to the behavior is a function of three factors. First, the attitude of the concept as a positive or negative assessment about the behavior implementation. The second factor is social influence which refers to social pressures are felt to perform or not to perform that behavior. Finally, the theory of planned behavior TPB (Theory of Planned Behaviour) was built by Ajzen adds the element of control perceived behavior on the model. The control component behaviour felt that reflect the easy or difficult when implementing acts; This depends on the availability of resources and the opportunity to perform the behavior. Ajzen suggest that factors that control the behavior of direct impact to the tendency to perform acts, and if the equivalent accuracy in the perception of the extent of his control, then the control behavior is also forecast to both acts.Pros: TPB model is seen as the more optimal the model to predict and explain the behavior of consumers in the same content and research context. Because TPB models fix the downside of SCREENING model by adding more elements of behavior control feel.Cons: there are some TPB models limited in predicting behavior (Werner, 2004). The first limitation is the determinants of intention is not limited to attitudes, subjective standard, perceived behavioral control (Ajzen, 1991). There may be other factors that affect behavior. Based on the experience of research shows that only 40% of the volatility of the behavior can be explained using TPB (Ajzen, 1991; Werner, 2004). The second limitation is that there may be a significant gap between the time the reviews about the intended behavior and actual behavior is evaluated (Werner 2004). During the period, the intention of an individual can change. The third limitation is that TPB is predicting that models predict an individual's action based on certain criteria. However, individuals do not always behave as predicted by the criteria (Werner 2004).
