Lịch sử: thành lập năm 1951
Nhiệm vụ:
Khoa Lịch sử là cơ quan nghiên cứu và giảng dạy lịch sử bậc đại học thuộc Trường Đại học Sư phạm Hà Nội, có nhiệm vụ chính:
- Nghiên cứu khoa học lịch sử và khoa học giáo dục lịch sử.
- Đào tạo giáo viên lịch sử bậc Trung học phổ thông hệ Cử nhân sư phạm, gồm các hệ Chất lượng cao, Chính quy,Văn bằng 2.
Ngoài ra: Tham gia xây dựng chương trình, biên soạn giáo trình, sách giáo khoa và tài liệu tham khảo môn Lịch sử cho các trường đại học, cao đẳng sư phạm và trường phổ thông trên phạm vi cả nước. Bồi dưỡng, nâng cao trình độ chuyên môn, nghiệp vụ sư phạm cho giáo viên bộ môn Lịch sử các bậc Trung học cơ sở, Trung học phổ thông,… trên phạm vi cả nước.
