PHƯƠNG PHÁP TIẾP CẬN CON NGƯỜI VÀ NHIỆM VỤ
Hai cách tiếp cận khác mà các nhà lãnh đạo thường sử dụng là :
• Con người (Tập trung vào nhân viên) - nhà lãnh đạo luôn cân nhắc về những nhu cầu của nhân viên. Họ cố gắng xây dựng tinh thần đồng đội, giúp nhân viên giải quyết các vấn đề, và hỗ trợ họ về mặt tâm lý.
• Nhiệm vụ (Tập trung vào công việc) - nhà lãnh đạo tin rằng họ có được một kết quả tốt bằng cách luôn giữ cho nhân viên mình thật bận rộn với công việc cũng như thúc ép họ làm việc.
Các bằng chứng đã cho thấy rằng nếu nhà lãnh đạo có xu hướng quan tâm đến nhân viên hơn thì họ sẽ làm việc năng suất cũng như hài lòng hơn trong công việc (Schriesheim, 1982).
Hãy lưu ý rằng “Con người” và “Nhiệm vụ” là hai phong cách lãnh đạo hoàn toàn độc lập với nhau, do đó không thể đặt hai phong cách này trên cùng một biểu đồ mức độ (Stogdill, 1974).
