Strategic planning is the process of determining which is made by an organization to set up short term or long term goals of your business in the future and specify the best methods to implement these goals (Aguinis, 2013). The purpose of strategic planning is to assist the individual in an organization complete their work more efficiently and help the organization build a competitive advantage. By Aguinis (2013) there are five key elements to create a strategic plan including: environmental analysis, mission, vision, goals and strategies. To have a good strategic plan, PepsiCo always analyze the environment inside and outside before during the SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) analysis. Then, PepsiCo's mission statement is the sale of foods and beverages for consumers and provide opportunities for the development of employees. In addition to the mission statement is stated as development vision. After the breakdown of the elements of the environment, our mission and vision, the Organization set a goal with the performance, people, environments to support PepsiCo company active in "performance with purpose objectives" (PepsiCo, 2013). The final step is to identify strategies to achieve success. Moreover, PepsiCo has always set clear job descriptions for staff of the unit and the system rewards them for their performance leads to a good strategy for the entire organization.
