WB, Việt Nam Ký hiệp định 560 triệu USD cho hai dự án phát triển và chống chịu biến đổi khí hậu
Ngày 11/7, tại thành phố Cần Thơ, Ngân hàng Thế giới (WB) và Ngân hàng Nhà nước Việt Nam ký hiệp định cho các khoản vay và tín dụng trị giá 560 triệu USD hỗ trợ hai dự án tại Đồng bằng sông Cửu Long.

Trong số này, 250 triệu USD sẽ dành cho Dự án phát triển thành phố Cần Thơ..

Khoản 310 triệu USD còn lại sẽ giúp xây dựng năng lực chống chịu biến đổi khí hậu và đảm bảo sinh kế bền vững cho 1,2 triệu dân sinh sống tại 9 tỉnh Đồng bằng sông Cửu long bị ảnh hưởng bởi xâm nhập mặn, xói lở bờ biển và lũ lụt.

Hiệp hội Phát triển Quốc tế (IDA) tài trợ 310 triệu USD cho Dự án chống chịu biến đổi khí hậu và đảm bảo sinh kế bền vững cho người dân ở Đồng bằng sông Cửu Long và 125 triệu USD cho Dự án phát triển thành phố Cần Thơ.
