Tôi ủng hộ các trường đại học tự chủ. Tôi đánh giá rất cao và ủng hộ mô hình tự chủ của ĐH Tôn Đức Thắng. Nhưng tự chủ phải trong khuôn khổ luật pháp cho phép, trong khuôn khổ nghị quyết của Đảng về đổi mới căn bản, toàn diện giáo dục. Tự chủ đại học, nếu chưa làm được hết thì làm từng bước.
