Tại Đà Nẵng, việc trồng cỏ Vetiver đã được đưa vào ứng dụng từ cuối năm 2011, với mục đích ổn định mái dốc taluy, hạn chế sạt lở, xói mòn trên tuyến đường cơ động tại bán đảo Sơn Trà, tuyến đường núi Bà Nà, ven sông Cổ Cò … Hi vọng rằng trong tương lai, với những lợi ích đem lại trong công tác ứng phó với biến đổi khí hậu và bảo vệ tài nguyên, môi trường cũng như những lợi ích về kinh tế, những ứng dụng của cỏ Vetiver sẽ được nghiên cứu và phát triển, nhân rộng với quy mô lớn để mang lại những hiệu quả thiết thực cho môi trường thành phố.
