Ngày 17/6/1962 Chính phủ đã ban hàn

Ngày 17/6/1962 Chính phủ đã ban hành Quyết định số: 490/TNgT/QĐ - TCCB đổi tên Sở Hải quan trung ương thành Cục Hải quan thuộc Bộ ngoại thương.

Giai đoạn này Hải quan Việt nam được xác định là công cụ bảo đảm thực hiện đúng đắn chế độ Nhà nước độc quyền ngoại thương, ngoại hối, thi hành chính sách thuế quan (thu thuế hàng hóa phi mậu dịch) tiếp nhận hàng hóa viện trợ và chống buôn lậu qua biên giới.

17/6/1962 the Government issued decision No. 490/traffic accidents/QD-TCCB renamed the Central Customs Department of the Bureau of customs under the Ministry of foreign trade.This period customs are defined as ensuring proper execution state monopoly of foreign trade, foreign exchange, customs policy enforcement (collects non-merchandise trade) receiving aid and goods smuggled across the border.

On 17.06.1962 the Government issued Decision No. 490 / accidents / QD - DOP renamed Central Customs Department of the Customs Department under the Ministry of Foreign Trade.
