- Tính sẵn sàng và tin cậy: Việc đảm bảo tính ổn định và tin cậy cũng là một mục tiêu rất cần thiết trong thiết kế mạng. Thiết kế mạng Data Center cần phải đảm bảo tính sẵn sàng cao nhất, tránh điểm lỗi đơn trên mạng với:

- Khả năng mở rộng: Thiết kế mạng TTDL phải có khả năng mở rộng về qui mô và nâng cấp các dịch vụ mới một cách dễ dàng mà không làm thay đổi kiến trúc.
- Khả năng quản trị: Thiết kế mạng TTDL cần đảm bảo khả năng quản trị tập trung, đơn giản và dễ dàng, hỗ trợ một cách nhanh chóng việc xác định, cô lập và khắc phục sự cố.
