Môi trường là không gian sinh sống của con người và sinh vật, là nơi bao gồm các nguồn tài nguyên cần thiết cho đời sống và sản xuất , là nơi chứa đựng và phân hủy các chất thải do con người tạo ra trrong cuộc sống và hoạt động sản xuất,…Môi trường có vai trò cực kì quan trọng đối với đời sống của con người. Đó không chỉ là nơi tồn tại, sinh trưởng và phát triển mà còn là nơi lao động và nghỉ ngơi, hưởng thụ và trau dồi những nét đẹp văn hóa, thẩm mĩ…Nhưng hiện nay tình trạng môi trường đang ô nhiễm trầm trọng cuộc sống của con người trên Trái Đất cũng đang bị đe dọa.Vấn đề này đang đe dọa trực tiếp đến sự phát triển kinh tế- xã hội bền vững, sự tồn tại của các thế hệ hiện tại và tương lai.Vì vậy việc vận dụng kiến thức đã học để giải quyết vấn đề ô nhiễm môi trường là rất quan trọng và cần thiết cho xu hướng xã hội ngày nay
Ô nhiễm môi trường là hiện tượng môi trường tự nhiên bị bẩn đồng thời các tính chất vật lí, hóa học, sinh học của môi trường bị thay đổi, gây tác hại tới đời sống của con người và các sinh vật khác.Ô nhiễm môi trường bao trùm tất cả các dạng ô nhiễm. Tuy nhiên, có ba loại ô nhiễm môi trường chính là : ô nhiễm nguồn nước, ô nhiễm không khí, và ô nhiễm đất. Môi trường đang bị ô nhiễm do nhiều nguyên nhân khác nhau như: do tác động của con người, do hóa chất bảo vệ thực vật, các chất hóa học, chất phóng xạ…Vậy ô nhiễm nguồn nước là như thế nào.Ô nhiễm nước xảy ra khi nước bề mặt chảy qua rác thải sinh hoạt, nước rác công nghiệp, các chất ô nhiễm trên mặt đất, rồi thấm xuống nước ngầm.Rất dễ hiểu,ví dụ như người dân sử dụng thuốc trừ sâu để bảo vệ thực vật. Do ý thức của người dân không tốt nên sau khi sử dụng xong họ vứt ngay vỏ bao bì xuống đường-không đúng nơi qui định, ảnh hưởng đến sức khỏe của mọi người. Nguồn nước bị ô nhiễm do dân cư ven các con sông thải chất sinh hoạt xuống sông . Người dân chẳng may sử dụng phải nguồn nước này , hay sống gần những nơi bị ô nhiễm sễ dễ mắc các bệnh về đường ruột, bệnh ngoài da, bệnh đau mắt hột,…Đặc biệt ảnh hưởng nhiều nhất là nghành nuôi trồng thủy sản. Do môi trường sinh thái bị ô nhiễm , cá tôm chết nhiều hoặc bị bệnh tác hại nghiêm trọng đến sản lượng, kinh tế người dân tốn kém nhiều trong việc cải tạo môi trường. Vì vậy mỗi người dân cần có ý thức trong việc bảo vê môi trường xanh-sạch- đẹp!

Environmental pollution embraces all forms of pollution. However, there are three types of environmental pollution: pollution of water resources, air pollution, and contamination of land. The environment is contaminated due to many different causes, such as: due to human impact, by plant protection chemicals, chemical substances, radioactive material ...
