Luật giao thông ở nước ta luôn là một vấn đề được mọi người quan tâm. Nó thể hiện những thước đo về trình độ văn hóa, danh dự, nhân phẩm của người Việt Nam.

Ở Việt Nam, luật giao thông vẫn còn lỏng lẻo, trẻ em chưa đủ tuổi vẫn tham gia giao thông, người đi bộ không được tôn trọng khi đi trên đường mặc dù đã có tín hiệu riêng dành cho họ. Nhiều trường hợp không đội mũ bảo hiểm và vượt đèn đỏ khi đi qua các nút giao thông có đèn tín hiệu. Cảnh sát giao thông thì không làm đúng nhiệm vụ, họ lấy tiền của người dân một cách vô lý...Đường xá thì quá hạn hẹp trong khi trên đường thì có quá nhiều biển báo, tín hiệu không cần thiết, hậu quả dẫn đến nhiều vụ tai nạn nghiêm trọng hằng năm….

Để khắc phục tình trạng này, cảnh sát giao thông nên làm tròn nhiệm vụ, công việc của mình, luôn xử lý nghiêm, minh bạch các đối tượng vi phạm . Người dân nên tự giác chấp hành luật, tôn trọng, nhường nhịn, giúp đỡ mọi người khi tham gia giao thông. Mọi người đi đúng làn đường của mình, có ý thức văn hóa xây dựng môi trường giao thông thân thiện, an toàn… Ngoài ra, nên tuyên truyền, giáo dục mọi người đặc biệt là trẻ em từ lúc nhỏ về luật giao thông thông qua sách vở lẫn thực tế để chúng hình thành nên sự hiểu biết đúng đắn, để làm được điều này, cách duy nhất là người lớn luôn làm gương, luôn chấp hành tốt luật giao thông khi đi trên đường vì trẻ em vốn thích làm theo, khi thấy người điều khiển vi phạm nó sẽ nhận thức và sau này làm theo
