Phỏng vấn là quá trình kiểm toán vi

Phỏng vấn là quá trình kiểm toán viên thu thập thông tin bằng văn bản hay bằng lời nói qua việc phỏng vấn những người hiểu biết về vấn đề mà kiểm toán viên quan tâm. Chẳng hạn như kiểm toán viên cần biết rõ về những quy định của hệ thống kiểm soát nội bộ thì có thể trao đổi với những thành viên của ban quan lý hoặc các cá nhân trong đơn vị về sự hoạt động của các quy chế kiểm soát nội bộ, hoặc muốn biết về phương pháp ghi sổ hay quá trình kiểm tra các nghiệp vụ kế toán của đơn vị thì kiểm toán viên có thể phỏng vấn trao đổi điều tra thông qua người quản lý làm công tác nghiệp vụ.
Có hai hình thức phỏng vấn đó là dạng văn bản hay phỏng vấn trực tiếp bằng vấn đáp.
- Phỏng vấn trực tiếp là việc kiểm toán viên gặp gỡ và trao đổi trực tiếp với các đối tượng liên quan. Ví dụ như phỏng vấn trực tiếp thủ quỹ về việc trả lương hàng tháng cho cán bộ công nhân viên, và phỏng vấn nhân viên về việc nhận lương của họ,…
- Phỏng vấn gián tiếp: Nếu kiểm toán viên thấy việc phỏng vấn trực tiếp không được thuận lợi có thể sử dụng các bảng, phiếu chứa sẵn các câu hỏi cần quan tâm.
