Kết quả khảo sát địa chất công trình xây dựng tại KCN Hòa Phú với 03 hố khoan H1, H2, H3 cho thấy lớp đất tại các khu vực có những đặc điểm như sau:
- Lớp đất (1): Sét màu xám nâu đốm vàng, trạng thái dẻo chảy; lớp đất (2): Bùn sét lẫn cát mịn, màu xám nâu đen, trạng thái chảy; lớp đất (3a): Sét lẫn ít cát mịn, màu xám nâu đen, trạng thái dẻo chảy. Đây là những lớp đất yếu, tính nén lún cao, không thuận lợi cho xây dựng.
- Lớp đất (3b): Sét lẫn ít cát, màu xám nâu đen, trạng thái dẻo mềm đến dẻo cứng là lớp đất có đặc trưng cơ lý trung bình yếu.
- Lớp đất (4a): Cát mịn lẫn bột, màu xám nâu đen, trạng thái chặt vừa; lớp đất (4b): Cát mịn lẫn bột, ít sét, màu xám nâu đen, trạng thái chặt đến rất chặt là những lớp đất có đặc trưng cơ lý thuận lợi cho việc xây dựng.
