Báo cáo đánh giá bổ sung kết quả thực hiện kế hoạch phát triển kinh tế - xã hội năm 2013 và tình hình triển khai phát triển kinh tế - xã hội năm 2014. Trong đó khẳng định những tháng đầu năm, kinh tế vĩ mô tiếp tục đạt được những kết quả tích cực. Tổng sản phẩm trong nước quý 1 năm 2014, ước tính tăng 4,96% so với cùng kỳ năm 2013, cao hơn mức tăng 4,76% quý 1 năm 2013. Tổng kim ngạnh xuất khẩu ở mức cao, lạm phát được kiềm chế, lãi suất tiếp tục điều chỉnh giảm, cơ cấu tín dụng có chuyển biến ở một số lĩnh vưc ưu tiên, thanh khoản của các ngân hàng thương mại được cải thiện. Chính phủ cũng thẳng thắn thừa nhận những tồn tại hạn chế và đưa ra nhiều giải pháp nhằm thực hiện nhiệm vụ kinh tế năm 2014 và những năm tiếp theo.
