Biến đổi khí hậu ảnh hưởng không nhỏ đến hoạt động sản xuất nông nghiệp. Nằm ngay sát bờ biển tỉnh Nam Đinh, trong những năm gần đây, người dân tại xã Giao Phong huyện Giao Thủy đã nhận thấy những ảnh hưởng của hiện tượng thời tiết cực đoan đối với đời sống cũng như hoạt động sản xuất. Mục đích thử nghiệm quá trình thích ứng của các cá thể nông dân đối với một loại cây trồng cụ thể là giống dưa mới (dưa Kim Hoàng Hậu) và biện pháp canh tác mới quay vòng tái sử dụng vật chất phụ phẩm nông nghiệp thành phân compost(sử dụng chế phẩm EMINA). Thông quá quá trình tập huấn và hướng dẫn chi tiết với từng hộ dân thí điểm, việc thử nghiệm mô hình giống dưa Kim Hoàng Hậu và ủ phụ phẩm nông nghiệp bằng chế phẩm EMINA bước đầu đã mang lại những thành công nhất định. Sau khi kết thúc mô hình đã có những hộ nhìn thấy khả năng hiệu quả của giống dưa mới (giá trị kinh tế và khả năng nhiễm sâu bệnh với bên ngoài ít hơn so với dưa lê ta) và việc ủ phân compost tận dụng được nguồn dinh dưỡng từ phụ phẩm nông nghiệp góp phần giảm chi phí trong sản xuất. Từ đó, người dân có những hành động thiết thực hơn, có trách nhiệm hơn trong việ bảo vệ môi trường sống xung quanh và ngày một nhân rộng trong điều kiện BĐKH.
